Doctors Are Ignoring the Safety and Efficacy of Ivermectin

Op-Ed by Daniel Bobinski

The Idaho Medical Association’s leaders are attempting to discredit and possibly suspend the licenses of Dr. Ryan Cole and dozens of other doctors in Idaho who prescribe ivermectin for treating Covid. Pharmacies across the state are refusing to fill ivermectin subscriptions, and hospital doctors are refusing to give it to dying patients. Why these otherwise intelligent professionals remain obtuse about the safety and benefits of ivermectin is a question for the ages. Unless, of course, there might be lots of dollars involved. Or other bribes. Or blackmail. Or threats from those who have the power to make or break their careers.

I’m not saying the aforementioned possibilities are happening.  I’m simply wondering why doctors and pharmacists are refusing to acknowledge that ivermectin actually works well in treating Covid-19. Other motivations, such as medical logic and health of the patient, don’t seem to be on their radar.

The Safety of Ivermectin

Allow me to reference a paper published by the National Institutes for Heath in 2011, titled, “Ivermectin, ‘Wonder drug’ from Japan: the human use perspective.”  (read it here)

The opening sentence of the abstract reads as follows:

Discovered in the late-1970s, the pioneering drug ivermectin, a dihydro derivative of avermectin—originating solely from a single microorganism isolated at the Kitasato Institute, Tokyo, Japan from Japanese soil—has had an immeasurably beneficial impact in improving the lives and welfare of billions of people throughout the world. (emphasis added)

Wait. Ten years ago the medical community was praising the use of ivermectin in treating people?

Read also the first sentence of the paper:

There are few drugs that can seriously lay claim to the title of ‘Wonder drug’, penicillin and aspirin being two that have perhaps had greatest beneficial impact on the health and wellbeing of Mankind. But ivermectin can also be considered alongside those worthy contenders, based on its versatility, safety and the beneficial impact that it has had, and continues to have, worldwide—especially on hundreds of millions of the world’s poorest people. (emphasis added)

So the National Institutes of Health published a paper in 2011 saying millions of PEOPLE were benefiting from ivermectin, and they were raving about how SAFE it was?

It didn’t take much digging to find that paper. It is clear that ivermectin has a record of being a safe and life-saving medication. Therefore  anyone – be they a media personality, a board-certified medical doctor, or a hayseed from Muskogee – who refers to ivermectin as merely “horse paste” or a “de-wormer” immediately loses ALL credibility for their crass intellectual dishonesty.

I’ll save my description of any any such person as intentionally obtuse with an obvious lack of concern for individuals suffering from a treatable illness for another day.

In the mean time, how about more pre-Covid research on ivermectin? Consider the 2017 NIH paper titled, “Ivermectin: enigmatic multifaceted ‘wonder’ drug continues to surprise and exceed expectations” (read it here).

The paper’s abstract starts by saying,

Over the past decade, the global scientific community have begun to recognize the unmatched value of an extraordinary drug, ivermectin, that originates from a single microbe unearthed from soil in Japan.

The abstract goes on to say,

Today, ivermectin is continuing to surprise and excite scientists, offering more and more promise to help improve global public health by treating a diverse range of diseases, with its unexpected potential as an antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer agent being particularly extraordinary. (emphasis added)

Perhaps the nay-sayers should read that last sentence again.

They might also read a four-hospital study that took place in Florida and was published in Pulmonology Advisor in November of 2020. The study found “mortality was significantly lower in patients treated with ivermectin compared with those not treated with the drug.” (emphasis added)

Video Testimony

For those who don’t care to read scientific papers published before the politics of Covid-19 destroyed the trustworthiness of scientific research, I invite you to watch a 10-minute video of Pierre Kory, M.D., testifying before a U.S. Senate subcommittee in December of 2020. Dr. Kory implores legislators and the medical community to look at the findings of doctors across the country who used ivermectin to achieve a 100% recovery rate for those with Covid-19. Watch the 10-minute video here.

In my opinion, it’s highly likely that many medical professionals in Idaho and across the nation are being bribed, blackmailed, or bullied into ignoring the benefits of ivermectin. No other logical reason exists for them to ignore a drug that has such a strong safety record and obviously works.

Fake News, and the Reason for It

In early September, a hoax story said hospitals in Oklahoma were overflowing with patients who overdosed on ivermectin bought as an over-the-counter treatment for horses. The story was completely fabricated, but many news outlets jumped on the story, fostering a negative image of the drug.

Frankly, it’s pathetic that someone thought they could get away with smearing a viable, safe treatment that is saving lives daily. It’s even more pathetic that medical doctors are subscribing to “the narrative” and refusing to acknowledge ivermectin’s 10-year safety record. And, it’s beyond all humane thought that these same doctors are letting people die rather than prescribe a drug that can save those lives.

Why is ivermectin being shunned? One possibility is rather obvious.

  1. The Food and Drug Administration will not issue an Emergency Use Authorization for any treatment if an adequate, available alternative exist.
  2. Every single mRNA ‘vaccine’ in America today is being administered through an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
  3. Ivermectin is an adequate, available alternative.

Here’s what the FDA says, from their own website:

Under an EUA, FDA may allow the use of unapproved medical products, or unapproved uses of approved medical products in an emergency to diagnose, treat, or prevent serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions when certain statutory criteria have been met, including that there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives.

The key is in the word “approved.” For an EUA to be issued, there can be no approvedtreatment, and those who are making BILLIONS of dollars on “jabs” do not want anything to stop that income flow. Therefore, any drug that even whiffs of being effective against Covid-19 must be smeared as dangerous and/or ineffective. That’s what happened to hydroxychloroquine, and that’s what’s happening to ivermectin.

Facts are Facts

Before Covid-19 and the BILLIONS of dollars of profit being made from “jabs,” ivermectin was reported by the National Institutes of Health to be a SAFE drug, effective as an antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer agent. Guess what? Ivermectin didn’t change. The only thing that changed was BILLIONS of yours and my tax dollars being spent on “free” Covid jabs – but only if there’s no adequate, APPROVED, and available alternative.

Can those in the medical profession come to their senses, or have they become convinced that 2+2=5?
