Idahoans from across the state are invited to gather on the steps of the State Capitol from noon to 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 12 for a time of prayer and repentance. The event will begin with worship and proceed to a time of prayer in small groups punctuated by brief addresses from a number of pastors and community leaders.
Idaho is a land of tremendous promise, yet it is grappling with serious troubles. For example, many of our elected representatives consistently defy the will of the people. We also have educational institutions indoctrinating our children with hatred of themselves and our country. Additionally, both elected and unelected boards throughout the state are setting aside Constitutional principles to do the bidding of national health agencies that promote methods of self-serving profit over true methods of healthcare.
What the Lord our God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14 is clear: “If my people, who are called by my Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my Face, and turn from their evil ways I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.”
If God’s people are in trouble – for whatever reason – He has supplied a singular remedy, which is re-focus our attention on Him and see what He will do once He has our attention.
Leaders from around the country are planning to stand with us on Saturday. God has promised to make Idaho a beacon in this season of America’s fourth Great Awakening. A number of pastors and leaders are flying in and bringing their families for the privilege of standing with us and with God.
Citizens are encouraged to come to the Capitol on Saturday from Noon – 3:00pm to pray for the state and people of Idaho as well as for the nation, and repent with one another. Those that cannot attend are asked to do the same where they may be.
